We are thrilled to welcome the talented Katy Spreadbury to Center Stage for a special Ballet Intensive, July 22-24! This intensive is for dancers who are interested in trying out for Lyrical/Contemporary Competition groups and is recommended for those trying out for Jazz groups as well.
This intensive is included in the $400 cost of Company Camp.
For dancers not paying the full price for Company Camp: each class costs $30.
*Katy will be selecting dancers to be a part of a Competition Ballet group that she will choreograph while she is here. This piece will be competed during the 2015-2016 season! Dancers must be in the Advanced Level Ballet class on Wednesday, July 22 in order to be considered for the group dance. Dancers who are selected for the group must attend all three choreography sessions. Choreography fees will be charged.

MORE ON KATY:
Katy Spreadbury received her early professional training from Kathy Kozul, Carol Somers, Sherri Moore-Nikitas, and Terri Gordon. Katy was a member of the Burncoat Fine Arts Magnet Program throughout her middle and high school years. She spent her summers training and performing with Ballet Workshop of New England under the direction of Jacqueline Cronsberg. As a youth, Katy received numerous accolades and awards for outstanding achievements in dance. She was named Capezio's Future Star, a featured artist in Dance Magazine, and a cover model for Dance Spirit. Upon moving to NYC, Katy began her professional career performing alongside legends Ben Vereen and Karen Ziemba. She has found great success as a commercial dancer here in the city. She is also continually sought after as a guest artist, and was most recently featured as a soloist at the International Film Festival in Dubai.
In addition to her dancing, Katy has been working as an educator for over 10 years now. She's taught for dance schools, colleges and ballet programs all over the country. She's assisted Emmy Award nominated choreographer, Mandy Moore in setting new work for Los Angeles Ballet, been a longstanding faculty member of The Dance Teacher Summit here in NYC, and featured on the cover of Dance Teacher Magazine in 2012. She is most widely know for her work on the convention circuit. Katy currently resides as the ballet teacher for JUMP Dance Convention. She is known there as a motivator, positive spirit, and fountain of knowledge. She continues to remain in high demand throughout the country as a teacher who wants to make a difference.
